We spend our lives chasing a sense of belonging, yet we never truly belong—not even to ourselves.
All that exists in the world, all that exists in the body and soul, and all that exists in the universe, nothing belongs to us, and we belong to nothing.
We are mere existence. When we attach identity to our existence, we develop a sense of belongingness to everything that resonates.
We end up spending our whole lives in this “FITOOR” of finding our worth based on the same need – to belong. We create labels to anchor our lives.
The truth is — our true home and identity are not anchored in the transient labels of this world.
The evidence is — “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un” (“We belong to Allah, and to Him we return”).
