When we build a Lego house,
each piece knows
where it belongs.
Remove it. Replace it.
The house doesn’t fall loudly.
It just
doesn’t hold.
People are the same.
Some occupy space.
Some complete it.
Presence without belonging
is just standing around.
It never becomes home.
What isn’t ours
doesn’t stay,
even when it lies
quietly on our palm.
And what is meant for us
takes its time,
wanders far,
and still
finds its way back.
