LOVE, close enough to notice ♥️

Love is your parents not waking you up because you slept late.

Love is your siblings fighting with you, then patching up endlessly.

Love is friends who keep calling and texting even when you’re terrible at replying.

Love is their failed travel plans where they try to drag you along.

Love is that someone special who keeps popping up, asking, “Why are you upset?”

even after you’ve tried to shoo them away.

Love is their unwanted attention, kisses, and clingy hugs you secretly need.

Love is your favorite music that has nothing to do with any ex.

Love is choosing your favorite food over “I’ll eat anything” just to adjust.

Love is the long hour you take to get ready, the way you like.

Love is the time you rush to catch that flight.

Love is lying in bed after working hard just to survive the day.

Love is the stupid itinerary you make while traveling.

Love is the scar on your body that reminds you of a fun fall.

Love is the cozy familiarity of those traffic signals.

Love is the popcorn you eat while watching a movie in the theater.

Love is pouring tea into your coffee mug without correcting yourself.

Love is looking at yourself in the mirror, all dressed up, still looking for a fix.

Love is looking at yourself in the mirror, all messed up, but smiling.

Love is the quiet marks of tears left on your pillow.

Love is the sound of your loud, unfiltered laughter.

Love is staying with yourself without disappearing.

Love is staying with those who stay for you — and with you.
